How to change your blogger background successfully

Salam and greet to all,

Different from my normal post, I'd love to share my experience on blogging this time.
I've downloaded cute blog background from Shabbyblog recently and did exactly as what was mentioned, however I found out that the change was a bit funny. The background didn't cover all my blog but showed two different pattern instead.

 

So I decided to look at the html code with the hope that I could do something to fix up the problem. Guess what.. my discovery thrilled me because I managed to fix it up successfully. Wasn't that awesome to have a novice like me were able to do it correctly, I should give myself credit :)

 

Here are the steps

• Log in to your blog
• Go to Template, then click "Edit HTML"
• Click Proceed
• Under *Variable definition, find  <Variable name="body.background.color"description="Outer Background"

• Please note that the words in bold are the ones that change

<Variable name="body.background.color" description="Outer Background" type="color" default="#66bbdd" value="#b8972e"/>

Change to;

<Variable name="body.background.color" description="Outer Background" type="color" default="transparent" value="transparent"/>

 

Save and we are done.

 

Yes, the background now covers all my blog.

 But later.......













 

I found out an easier way of doing it lol :)

The red arrow shows it all.

• Go to Template->  Click Customise
• At Blogger Template Designer, click Advanced-> Click Background-> select Transparent for Outer Background
• Click Apply to Blog.

Done!  ;p
